Alfred Oeller Jr.

Alfred Oeller Jr., 75, of Hudson Gardens, Plains Township, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his home.

 

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Alfred and Dorothy White Oeller.  Al was a 1965 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School.  For many years he owned and operated Nardy’s Television & Sound Systems in Plains.  He later drove bus 22 for the Williams Bus Line, later know as STA and also for Pace Transportation, prior to his retirement.

 

Al was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family.  He also enjoyed his trips to Casinos.

 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Lee Reese Oeller in 2013 and by his son, Alfred (Buddy) Oeller in 2009.  He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Jones.

 

Al is survived by his wife, Lorraine Smith Oeller and by his daughter, Tammy-Oeller-Worzel, Plains Township; grandson, Ricky Worzel; son-in-law, Mark Worzel, Forty Fort; step daughter, Tracie Vacula and her spouse, Michelle Toman, Plains Township; brother, William Oeller and his wife, Linda, Granbury, Texas; and by his cousins, nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 am from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Rev. Dr. Robert M. Zanicky, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Wilkes-Barre, will officiate.  Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township.

 

Family and friends may call from 9 – 11 am on Thursday at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al’s memory to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 East Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA  18702.
