Andrew G. Skrepenak

Andrew G. Skrepenak, 73, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at the Gardens at Easton, in Easton, PA.

 

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Andrew J. and Elizabeth Gecik Skrepenak. Andrew was a graduate of Coughlin High School, where he was a district wrestling champion. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an iron worker for many years, and he was later employed at the Lion’s Brewing Company, Wilkes-Barre. Andrew proudly served in the Army National Guard.

 

Andrew was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan, and he enjoyed shooting darts.

 

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Skrepenak in 2022.

 

Andrew is survived by his brother, Bernard Skrepenak, Wilkes-Barre; nieces, Liza Bitzer and Kimberly Miller; nephews, Gregory Skrepenak and Matthew Skrepenak; numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 6 P.M. in the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Rev. Michael Kerestes, Pastor of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, will officiate. Friends may call prior to the service from 4-6 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Dallas.
