Obituaries » Christine A. Ferriero December 10, 2022 Christine A. Ferriero December 10, 2022 Christine A. Ferriero, 64, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Chris was a fun-loving woman, loved by all. She was born on the Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, a daughter of the late Robert and Rita Jones Morrill. Chris was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School, Saratoga Springs, NY. Chris had lived a colorful life beginning with her career as an avid horseman, having worked with standardbred horses in harness racing. Chris began an interest in vintage antiques, creating a successful business called Chris’s shop. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Wilkes-Barre. Chris is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Frank Ferriero and by her brother, Kevin Morrill and his wife, Robin; brother-in-law Louis Ferriero and wife Deirdre, sister-in-law Patricia Wilton and husband Lawrence several nieces, nephews, cousins and their spouses and all their children. Chris is also survived by numerous friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 pm from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Rev. Joseph D. Verespy will officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be from 12 – 2 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Nicholas Church, 226 S.
