Deborah L. ‘Debbie’ Tyson Wickham

Deborah L. ‘Debbie’ Tyson Wickham, 64, of Nanticoke, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Allied Services Center City Skilled Nursing in Wilkes-Barre, after a long and courageous battle with COPD.


Debbie was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Fermes and Gertrude Seess Tyson.  She attended E.L. Meyers High School.  Debbie was employed for many years as a supervisor for the URS of Luzerne County.


Debbie was a loving and devoted mother, sister and aunt, who will be sorely missed by her family and friends.  She enjoyed the simple things in life.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo when she was able to and watching her favorite TV shows.


She is survived by her loving daughters, Amanda Wickham and her fiancé, Paul Sromovski and Wendy Wickham of Wilkes-Barre and Jamie Wickham, Nanticoke; sisters, Terry Pavloski and her husband, Michael, Linda Perrins and her husband, David and Trudy Johns all of Wilkes-Barre; brother, Thomas Tyson and his wife, Sharon, Wilkes-Barre.  She is also survived by her aunt, Theresa Penkala, Edwardsville; and by her nieces and nephews and her grand fur babies.


Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.  Rev. J. Duane Gavitt, Pastor of St. Elizabeth’s Church, Bear Creek, will officiate.   Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.


Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
