Dominick F. Mainolfi Jr.

Dominick F. Mainolfi Jr., 83, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Allied Services Hospice Center in Wilkes-Barre.

 

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Dominick Sr. and Frieda Fino Mainolfi.  Dominick was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, class of 1957.  He retired from Luzerne Optical in 2019, where he had been employed as a bench optician for many years.  Prior to working at Luzerne Optical, he worked at Balaster Optical and Kresge’s.

 

Dominick was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

 

He was a member of the St. Paulina Club in Wilkes-Barre and he enjoyed going to the Mohegan Sun Casino.

 

He was preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Sophia Mainolfi and by his sisters, Furtunata Galella and Mary Dargiewicz and his brother, Joseph Mainolfi.

 

Dominick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dolores Evanich Mainolfi and by his children, Donna Mainolfi, Mountain Top, Debra Goldowski and husband, Christopher, Nanticoke and Dominick Mainolfi III and his wife, Jane, Nanticoke; grandchildren, Paige and Vanessa Good, Hayley Goldowski,                         Dominick Mainolfi IV and Derick Mainolfi; great grandson, Kolton Mainolfi; sister, Roseann Mainolfi, Wilkes-Barre and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.  Deacon William Behm will officiate.
