Gerard A. Stilp Jr.

Gerard A. Stilp Jr. of Hanover Township, passed away on Thursday,

January 24, 2019 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born June 24, 1955 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of Marilyn J. Lynn Stilp of Wilkes-Barre, and the late Gerard A. Stilp Sr.

 

Jerry was a graduate of Bishop Hoban High School, class of 1973 and served our country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War era.  Jerry worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot for 16 years.  For the past 20 years, he lived and worked extensively in the Satellite Communication and Information Technology Industry throughout Europe.

 

Surviving in addition to his mother are his former wife, Diane Yarnot Stilp, Hanover Township; his children, Jason M. Stilp, Tampa, FL, Jessica N. Stilp-Pringle and her husband, Gerald, Abington, PA, and Jennifer R. Stilp, Edwardsville; grandchildren, Mason, Sofia, Logan Pringle and Colton Stilp; brother, Paul Stilp and his wife, Sandy, Beaver, PA; sisters, Kathleen Bitritto and her husband, Frank, Newport Richey, FL, Mary Ann Nothstein and her husband, Dr. Gary, Dallas, and Susan Stilp, Dallas; aunts, Suzanne Lynn, Maureen Lynn, Elizabeth Stilp, Josephine Helfrich; uncle, Brother DePorres Stilp; numerous nieces and nephews and many cousins.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Viewing will be held at the church from 9 AM until 10 AM on Wednesday.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702
