Obituaries » Harold Roy Deitrick March 2, 2023 Harold Roy Deitrick Jr. March 2, 2023 Harold Roy Deitrick, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Harold Roy Deitrick Sr. and the late Charlotte Hall Deitrick. Harold attended Coughlin High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed for over 45 years at Inter Metro Industries in Wilkes-Barre. Harold enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball. He loved building model trains and going to amusements parks. His greatest love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Deitrick and Elaine Lemitch and by his brothers, Noel and Dale Deitrick. Harold is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deborah Reese Deitrick and by his daughter, Jody Hunzer, Palmerton and by his son, Harold Deitrick and his wife, Zina Capute Deitrick of Moscow. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Brittany Hunzer and Damian and Daniel Deitrick; and by his nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service celebrating Harold’s life will be held on Saturday at 1 pm from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Rev. Carol E. Coleman will officiate.
