Obituaries » Ira E. Hufford August 18, 2023 Ira. E. Hufford August 18, 2023 Ira E. Hufford, 70, of Harvey’s Lake passed away suddenly on Friday, August 18, 2023, at his home. He was born in Kingston to the late Ira and Eleanor Wancho Hufford. Ira was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, class of 1970. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Proctor & Gamble, Mehoopany in the tissue department. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Swartwood Hufford; sisters, Sandra Hufford and her partner, David Guydosh, Larksville; Judith Petro and her husband, David, South Salem, NY; sister-in-law, Kathleen Poplaski and her husband, Frank, Shavertown; nephew, Jason Poplaski and his wife Robin, Watertown, NY, and their 3 children. Ira liked riding his Harley motorcycle, traveling to Alaska and out West. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved all of his dogs. A private funeral service was held at the convenience of the family from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre.
