Joseph E. Luton, 44, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 in the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.


He was born in Allentown, a son of the late Morgan E. Luton Sr. and Mary Rogers Luton.  Joe was a graduate of Coughlin High School.  He was formerly employed as a mechanic at the Wilkes-Barre Municipal Golf Course.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas R. Luton; sister, Laura Dale and nephew, Mason Salazar.


Joe is survived by his wife, Lisa (McAndrew) Luton; step children, Justina Strollash and Alyssa Otero and her husband, Ozzie; step grandchildren, Lloyd, Noah, Milani, Alize and Alberto; brothers, Morgan E. Luton Jr. and his wife, Earlette, Wilkes-Barre Township and Timmy Luton and his wife, Brenda, Wilkes-Barre Township; sister, Crystal Luton and her husband, Craig Salazar, Buck Township; sister-in-law, Nina Luton, Wilkes-Barre Township and brother-in-law, John Dale, Mountain Top.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Morgan Luton III, AJ Luton, Mathew Luton, Jessica, Erica and Vanessa Luton, Goddaughter, Tanya Luton, Johnny and Felicia Dale, Hailey and Grayson Salazar.


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.  Rev. Marty Garms will officiate.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.


Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 -7 pm at the funeral home.


Those attending the visitation and service are required to wear a mask and abide by social distancing requirements
