Obituaries » Joseph J. Andrascavage Sr. June 2, 2023 Joseph J. Andrascavage Sr. June 2, 2023 Joseph J. Andrascavage Sr., 86, of Wilkes-Barre Township, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2022 in the Gardens at East Mountain in Plains Township. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Frank Andrascavage and Agnes Salek Andrascavage Ambrose. Joe was a 1956 graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1962. Joe was a member of Wilkes-Barre Township American Legion Post# 815. Prior to his retirement, he served as a federal law enforcement officer for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Benjamin C. Ambrose Sr. and by his brother, Benjamin C. Ambrose. Joe is survived by his children, David Andrascavage, Exeter, Gary Andrascavage, Wilkes-Barre Township, Joelle Andrascavage, Philadelphia and Joseph Andrascavage Jr., Wilkes-Barre Township; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; several nieces and cousins. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 11 am in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township, 1594 S. Main Street, Hanover Township, PA.
