Kathleen Papciak Horn

On November 16th 2022 heaven gained another angel. Kathleen Papciak Horn passed away after a brief illness in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Wilkes-Barre to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Sipos Papciak.  Kathleen graduated from Wilkes-Barre Township High School. She was employed by Fit Rite Headwear of Wilkes-Barre until its closing and later in life by Home Instead Healthcare.

Kathleen was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception in Wilkes-Barre.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Edward “Sonny” Papciak and by her sister, Margaret “Margie” Skurkis.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Karen Cleary, Hanover Twp., Lisa Oldziejewski and her husband David, Wilkes-Barre, Thomas Horn and his wife Suzanne, Florida, grandchildren; Eric Cleary and his wife Megan, Mountain Top, Nicolas Oldziejewski, Kingston, Katelyn Oldziejewski, Myrtle Beach, S. Carolina, and Thomas Horn, N. Carolina; great grandchildren, Jax, Tyson, and Micah Cleary, Mountain Top. She is also survived by her sister in-law, Millie Papciak; nephew, Jeff Papciak and his wife Ann, and their children, Christopher, Elizabeth, and nephew Joseph Skurkis, Florida and by several cousins.

Funeral services for Kathleen will be held on Tuesday morning at 9:00 A.M. from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue. Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 S. Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
