Kelsey Alexus Benn

Kelsey Alexus Benn, 15, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022.

 

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of Kathryn Lee Rudaski Benn and Robert Everetts of Wilkes-Barre and Daryl R. and Kimberly Benn of Mountain Top.  Kelsey was a graduate of Kistler Elementary School and a 10th grade student at Wilkes-Barre Area High School.

 

Kelsey was a member of Girl Scout Troop 32817 in Wilkes-Barre.  She had a love of horses and was an accomplished Equestrian.  She loved all animals, especially her two pet rabbits, Spruce and Pickles and her two goats, Alpine and Timber.  Kelsey also loved to garden.

 

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Daryl Benn Sr. and Edward Rudaski; great grandparents, Jason and Albina Lord; Raymond and Bertha Krasnahill and Leonard Benn and by her cousin, Trevor Benn.

 

In addition to her parents, Kelsey in survived by her brothers, David M. Burgerhoff, Scranton and Jesse R. Benn, Wilkes-Barre.  She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Kathrine Rudaski, Hunlock Creek; paternal grandparents, Anita and Ron Franks, Mountain Top; great grandmother, Edith Benn; step-grandmother, Donna D’Andre; step-sisters, Alysa and Chloe George; step-brother, Tyler Donato; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.  Rev. J. Duane Gavitt will officiate.  Private interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
