Kevin Farrell

March 6, 1959 - July 10, 2022

Kevin M. Farrell, 63, of Plymouth passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

 

He was born in Budd Lake, New Jersey, the son of the late James L. and Katherine Hausch Farrell.

 

Kevin was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, class of 1977.  He was employed as a corrections officer at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for 25 years, achieving the rank of sergeant before retiring at age 55.

 

Kevin was an avid car buff and always had a car in the back yard that he was tinkering on.  His love of cars started when he was 16, and he worked on many with his father.

 

Kevin was also a dog lover, especially the bully breeds.  There was hardly ever a time when he didn’t have a furry four-legged friend following him everywhere.

 

Surviving are his son, Kevin B. Farrell, Hanover Township; sisters, Katherine Farrell, Hanover Township, Elizabeth Hohal and her husband, Michael, Wilkes-Barre; long-time girlfriend, Chrissy Bagley and her children Christopher and Emily Bagley; numerous cousins.

 

A Memorial service for Kevin will be held on Friday, August 5th at 12:30 pm from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township
