Laura Dale

Laura Dale, 51, of Mountain Top, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

 

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Morgan and Mary Rogers Luton.  Laura was a graduate of Coughlin High School, class of 1987. She was employed by the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, having worked at Mackin , Heights and Dan Flood Elementary Schools.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Luton.

 

Laura is survived by her husband of 32 years, John Dale and by her daughter, Filicia Dale, Mountain Top and her son, John Dale Jr and his fiancé Kaylee Dawson, Wilkes-Barre; her grandchildren, Stephen, Hunter and Damian. She is also survived by her brothers, Morgan Luton, Tim Luton and his wife Brenda, and Joey Luton all of Wilkes-Barre Township; sister, Crystal Luton and her fiancé Craig Salazar, Buck Township and by her nieces and nephews.

 

She loved going to Walt Disney World. Thought the world of her grandchildren; family was everything. She loved to cook for the holidays: especially for Christmas her favorite holiday. She enjoyed shopping; especially for her kids and grandchildren. She loved working for the school district helping elementary kids.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.  Rev. Marty Garms will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.

 

Friends may call on Monday from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.

 

Those who are attending the visitation and funeral service are required to wear a mask and abide by the CDC and State social distancing requirements.
