Margaret “Peggy” Lavan Krutski, 84, a lifelong resident of Wilkes Barre Township peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 10th 2023. She will always be remembered for being a loving Nana, she considered her grandchildren and great grandchildren to be her biggest accomplishment in her life.

Peggy was born in Wilkes-Barre Township on Oct. 24, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maria Lyall Lavan.

Her true passion for work, was as a bar owner and bartender. She continued to bartend long after her retirement. She left countless impressions and made just as many friends and memories.

Peggy had many great titles. She was a Mom, Aunt Peg, a friend, but her greatest joy was as a Nana and Great-Nana. She especially loved cooking for her grandchildren. She cherished every second she had with her grandchildren and many great grandchildren. They adored Nana and Nana adored them more.

Whether it was a meal, a poured drink, or a conversation Peggy loved giving to others.  She left her family and friends with memories we will cherish forever.

She had a deep love for her parents and each and every one of her siblings.  Her family finds comfort in knowing that in her passing she will be reunited with her mother, father, six brothers and two sisters in heaven.
