Mary F. Drank, 88, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Plymouth Manor Personal Care Center, Plymouth.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, on January 26, 1928, the daughter of the late Michael F. and Alberta L. Armbruster Krieg. Mary was a 1946 graduate of Coughlin High School. She was formerly employed as a sales person at Arlan’s Department Store.

Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She volunteered for many years as a foster grandparent at Kiddie Space.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Drank Jr.

Surviving are her children: Michael Drank, Harrisburg; Diane Drank and her companion, Henry Hildebrand, Wapwallopen; David Drank and his wife, Donna, Laflin; James Drank and his wife, Marianne, Jacksonville, FL; Lisa Ann Drank, Harrisburg; grandchildren: Melinda Adonizio and her husband, Michael, Avoca; Kristen Arthur and her husband, Bill, Pittsburgh; Kimberly Drank and her fiancé Jamie Granko, Scranton; Justin Drank and his fianceé Tracy Mushinsky, Exeter; James Drank Jr. and his wife, Niki, Phoenix, AZ; Jennifer Drank, Raleigh, NC; Jillian Drank and her fiancé, Daniel Knight, Raleigh, NC; Kimberly Register and her husband, Jaden, Jacksonville, FL; great grandchildren: Jacob and Andrew Adonizio; Ethan Granko; Augustus (Gus) Arthur, Brody, Cale, Keeli and Cooper Drank; Abbey, Jordan, and Allyssa Register; sister-in-law: Katherine Svetz, Plains; nieces, nephews and cousins; lifelong best friend, Ann Horridgeann.

Mary’s family would like to thank the staff of Plymouth Manor and Personal Home Health Care & Hospice for the loving care that they provided.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:30 am at St. Nicholas Church, 226 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery, Shavertown.

Friends may call on Friday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
