Obituaries » Maryann Murray April 18, 2023 Maryann Murray April 18, 2023 Maryann Murray, 70, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Allied Services Center City Skilled Nursing in Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late James and Anna Yuschak Murray. Maryann was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, class of 1971 and the Wilkes-Barre Vocational School of Nursing. She was formerly employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Retreat State Hospital, the VA Medical Center and at Little Flower Manor. Maryann will be dearly missed and always remembered for her fun-loving personality and quick wit. Although she never had children of her own, she was a devoted and forever loving nanny to Mathew and Megan. Maryann was never without a humorous story of their adventures together throughout their lives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Patrick J. Murray on 2022 and by her brother-in-law, William Sprow in 2005. Maryann is survived by her loving sister, Jeanne Sprow of Wilkes-Barre and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am in Our Lady of Fatima parish at St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, 134 S. Washington, Wilkes-Barre. Those attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Dallas. Condolences may be sent by visiting Maryann’s obituary at www.natandgawlas.com.
