Michael J. Granda, 63, of Wilkes-Barre Township, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.

 

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Albert and Hazel Sutliff Granda. Michael was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School. He was employed as a laborer at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township.

 

Michael was a member of the House of Judah Ministry Apostolic Church, Parrish Street, Wilkes-Barre.

 

He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.  He enjoyed cooking, traveling and gardening.  He was also an ardent Steelers Fan.

 

Surviving are his wife Diane (Charmaine) Gordon Granda; daughter Sheena Warman and her husband Ryan, Wilkes-Barre; granddaughter Sierra Warman; brother Albert Granda, Jr. and his wife Carol, Hammonton, NJ; sister Mary Harrison, Tehachapi, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date.

 

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
