Nancy L. Snyder

Nancy L. Snyder, 91, of Kingston formerly of the Heights Section of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Saturday at Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing in Wilkes-Barre.

 

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Ralph and Vera Hoskins.  Nancy was a 1947 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School.  She was formerly employed by the West Side Clinical Laboratory and by the Irem Temple.

 

Nancy was a member of the Wyoming Valley Presbyterian Church in Wilkes-Barre.  She was a member of the Irem Temple Woman’s Auxiliary, the Red Hats Society and the Ladies Card Club.

 

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Snyder on August 10, 1998.

 

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Karen Good and her partner, Jay Jorett, Reading; Betsy Dalsanto and her husband, Art, Wilkes-Barre and Laurie Kennedy, Shavertown.  She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Justin Good and his partner, Mel; Brian Good and his partner, Sue; Michael Good and his wife, Nicole and their children, Liam and Charlotte; Nikki Newcomb and her husband, Jay and their daughter, Calleigh; Christopher Dalsanto and his wife Rebecca and soon to be born great grandson, Luca David; Brittany Temarantz and husband, Travis and Colby Kennedy; nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 6 pm from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Rev. Adam Demetros, Pastor of the Wyoming Valley Presbyterian Church will officiate.  Private interment will be in Fern Knoll Cemetery, Dallas.

 

Family and friends may call from 4 – 6 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

 

Those attending the visitation and service are required to wear a mask and abide by social distancing requirements.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, c/o Irem Temple, Business Office, 64 Ridgeway Drive,   Dallas, PA 18612.
