Pat Burcha

October 4, 2020

Andreen Patricia Burcha, 65 of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Sunday afternoon in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

She was born on November 26, 1954 in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Andrew and Myrtle Geiger Burcha.  Pat attended G.A.R. Memorial High School and always remained a proud Grenadier.

Pat is remembered as being a truly genuine, loving and caring woman who saw the good in everyone and always had a smile.  She was devoted to her family and the accomplishments of her grandchildren (Kaede & Keara), nieces (Brandy, Nicole & Becky) and nephew (Christopher).

She enjoyed spending time with her many friends, as well as her dog, Ginger, who she recently rescued.  Pat had a special place in her heart for all animals, enjoyed gardening and caring for the large collection of house plants she had accumulated, many of which were brought back to life after her daughter repeatedly failed to care for them properly.

Most treasured were her granddaughters Kaede Goodeliunas, who she resided with in Wilkes Barre and Keara Hannon of Nanticoke.  Pat rarely missed a school event, concert, softball game, soccer meet, swim meet, lacrosse game or awards ceremony.

She was preceded in death by her niece, Nicole Wrobel.

Surviving are her daughter Amber Ann Goodeliunas of Wilkes-Barre, with whom she resided, son Michael Thomas Hannon and his fiancé Tiffany Tryba of Nanticoke, her beloved sister Andrea (Burcha) Wrobel and her husband Robert of Wilkes-Barre, lifelong companion Richard Hannon of Wilkes-Barre, as well as her aforementioned nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Pat will be held on Saturday at 2 pm from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. Carol E. Coleman will officiate.

Family and friends may call on Saturday from 12 noon – 2 pm.

Those attending the visitation and service must wear a mask and abide by the CDC and State social distancing requirements.
