Paulette George

Paulette George, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away at Guardian Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Nanticoke, on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Swoyersville, a daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline Gryniewicz Baynock. Paulette was a graduate of Swoyersville High School. For Before her retirement, she worked many years as a Nurse’s Aide at Mercy Hospital and Little Flower Manor. Then she was a Unit Secretary at Mercy Hospital in the Emergency Room.

In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Anthony J. George on April 11, 2021.

Surviving are her daughters, Teressa Petro, Wilkes-Barre, and Tracey George, Plymouth; grandchildren, Robert Petro, Jr., Sarah Elizabeth Petro, Brian James Garey, Jr. and his wife Jennifer and Anthony John George II; great-grandson, Brian James Garey III; siblings, Bernadette Kandetzki and her husband David, Altoona, Joseph Baynock and his wife Delores, Kingston, and Lynette Bulger and her husband Rich, West Pittston; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Paulette’s daughters would like to thank Hospice of the Sacred Heart For their wonderful, kind, and compassionate care, and also the caregivers at Guardian Healthcare that treated her with respect and love.

Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.
