Philip J. (Mousey) Nardiello

December 19, 2022

Philip J. (Mousey) Nardiello, 80, of Mountain Top formerly of Wilkes-Barre passed away peacefully on Monday, December 19, 2022.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre, the son of Dominick and Antoinette Sciarra Nardiello.  Phil graduated from St. Leo’s High School in Ashley and from Barber School.  He was a self-employed barber for over 40 years.  He loved and cared for his clients.  The barber shop was a great place for his friends to laugh and get their hair cut.

Phil loved sports.  He played softball for many years and coached teener league baseball.  He enjoyed the Phillies and Eagles.  He loved attending high school football, baseball and basketball games. It took him forever to get seated at the games, because he talked and had to say hello to everyone he knew.

Phil is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Kasper Nardiello and by his son, Philip D. Nardiello.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Melanie Brennan; brother-in-law, David Kasper and his wife, Betty; and by many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins; along with many great friends.

As per Phil’s wishes there will be no calling hours. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Family and friends may make memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-9969.

Condolences may be sent by visiting Phil’s obituary at www.natandgawlas.com.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre.
