Rosalie A. Eichhorn, 79, of Dallas passed away at home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

 

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of the late Louis and Eva Podushak Chiarucci. She was a 1960 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. Prior to her retirement, Rosalie was employed as an aide by Mountainside Manor and later by the Dallas Area School District.

 

Rosalie was a member of Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas.

 

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Bernard J. Eichhorn; children, Bernard Eichhorn, Jr. and his wife, Denise, of Hanover, Frank Eichhorn and his wife, Lorraine, of Reading, Mathew Eichhorn of Shavertown, Eva Marie Eichhorn and her fiancé, Charles Cheskiewicz, Dallas; grandchildren, Kurt, Kayla, Jennifer, Julia, Katie and Frank; great-grandchildren, Ben, Juliana, Caitlyn, Miles and Louis; brothers, Lewis Chiarucci and his wife Barbara and Anthony Chiarucci and his wife Karen, all of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 A.M. in Gate of Heaven Church, 40 Machell Avenue, Dallas. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hanover Township.

 

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
