Aunt Miriam was a very special "great aunt". She was always very interested in us nieces and nephews and what was going on in our lives. She was a great storyteller. Aunt Miriam lived her life doing God's work, and I feel truly blessed to have such a special person in my life. I will miss you, Aunt Miriam.

How can I express in words what lies deep with Heart for my friend. She taught me. what it meant to be a good teacher by modeling her skills. She loved each student in her care. They in turn loved her and looked forward to her visits to our Classrooms. Many young teachers thanked her for her support. Often you would find the first grade students asking to go visit Sister in her office. I think they too loved her laugh. She served on many committees besides being principal. I consider myself blessed to have been chosen to be her friend.

Sr. Miriam was a dear friend and truly a member of our family as she and my Aunt Geraldine lived together in convents or Sisters of Mercy housing ever since I can remember. She attended all our major life events: first communion; wedding; children’s baptisms; and funerals of loved ones. She was always a major part of family holidays and parties. She stuck with us through thick and thin and celebrated and mourned with us for over 50-years. She was a quiet force of reason and wisdom and made a significant difference in every life that she touched. In my eyes, she was Aunt Sr. Miriam and will be truly missed.
