Teresa  Havely, 91, formerly of Hanover Township, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township, surrounded by her loving family.

 

Teresa was born in Wilkes-Barre Township, a daughter of the late George and Mary Rodzinak Nat. She attended Wilkes-Barre Township High School and was employed for many years in the local garment industry.

 

Teresa was a member of St. Leo’s/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley. She was also a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Adam Havely, in 2020; brothers, Joseph, Michael, Andrew, Peter, and Charles Nat; sisters, Mary Sydlo, Anna Golenski, Kay Tomchak, Elizabeth Nat, Helen Poslock and Olga Evanick.

 

Surviving are her children, Susan Turkos and her husband, Thomas, Bear Creek and Allan Havely and his wife Traci, Coplay; grandchildren, Stacey Turkos, Alison Turkos, Rachael Havely and Lex Pysher; numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
